In Spurgeon’s devotion, he elaborates, “Many passages of Scripture prove that the instrument of our sanctification is the Word of God. The Spirit of God brings to our minds the precepts and doctrines of truth and applies them with power. These are heard in the ear but received in the heart.”
I can’t speak for you, but I want to be more like Jesus. This is what sanctification is all about. The more I take on the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16), the more I begin to think like God, and the more I come to know His will for my daily life. This is why studying the Word is so important!
