“Ephraim is a cake not turned.” – Hosea 7:8
Spurgeon explains, “A pancake not turned is unbaked on one side. Ephraim was like this. He had areas in his life untouched by divine grace. Although there was some partial obedience, there was much rebellion left.”
I can’t speak for you but I have come to a place in my walk with the Lord that I no longer desire to hold on to “pet sins.” I have discovered that the only path in this world that leads to true happiness and joy is the path of obedience.
And so, I say to God, turn me over, Lord! Burn all the sin out of my life and let me experience an intimacy with you like I’ve never known. May this be your prayer too!
